Survival Kit 6 - The Utopian City

Topp & Dubio are invited to take part in the contemporary art festival Survival Kit in Riga.

'Survival Kit' is an annual art festival that has run since 2009, when it began as a reaction to the global economic crisis which forced the public to find new strategies of survival and encouraged artists to discover fresh means of existence. 'Survival Kit' is produced by the Latvian Centre for Contemporary Art, which aims to provide continuity of contemporary art processes and their integration into the international circuit.

Topp & Dubio will show 'Prepare a Square', a new site-specific project that deals with the changing role of city squares in conflict cities like Kyiv, Istanbul or Cairo. The spatial (video)installation will be shown at Wagner Hall, a 18th century theater in the old town of Riga.
